Jacob Shaw

Head Coach, Founder of The Shamba Way

Jake Shaw is a pioneer and leader in the fitness community. Owner of Shamba Fit & Shamba Nutrition, his approach draws from martial arts, crossfit, yoga, gymnastics and his knowledge of nutrition.  His highly sought after program works with all types of athletes to develop and reach their health and fitness goals. The Shamba Way, which umbrellas both Shamba Fit and Shamba Nutrition, provides a practical method to achieve your fitness goals for your hectic lifestyle. 

Jake lives in southern California. His better half is Renee Estrada. In his spare time he enjoys sharing his fitness and nutrition knowledge with friends, family and anyone who will listen.  He has two kids, four sisters, one brother and four parents. 

 

Renee Estrada

Barre Instructor, Social Media/Events Coordinator

Renee has been an educator and has worked with children for over 15 years  in the Orange Unified School District.  She has been the track coach for her school for the past five years and has had several of her students go on to compete in State competitions.  She holds a Master Degree in the Science of Education with a minor in the Arts.

When she isn't teaching our future generation, she is a proud mother of two boys and strives to be the role model that pushes them to be the best they can be.  She enjoys training with them weekly.

She has always been involved in sports, playing soccer in college, and has continued to pursue her love in fitness and nutrition.  She competes in local fitness competitions and is currently an instructor and social director for ShambaFit.

Her philosophy is to challenge yourself daily and live everyday for you. She believes that in order for the outside to match your youthful insides, one cannot be afraid to step out of your comfort zone to reinvent yourself and be confident with who you are.

Adria Sherman

Shamba Fit Instructor, Operations Manager

Adria holds a M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering and is also an ACSM certified personal trainer. 

She considers herself to have two full-time jobs – One as an Engineer at a Biotech/Software company and another as a fitness enthusiast/athlete. Throughout her life she has played soccer, raced in Triathlons, competed in physique competitions and has finally immersed herself in the world of Crossfit and Olympic Weightlifting. 

Being healthy and active has completely turned her life around in so many positive ways. Her passion is to bring that same thing to others and encourage people to love the skin they are in, be confident in their abilities, and always push themselves out of their comfort zone. 
 

Kirstie Gillespie

Barre Instructor, Operations Manager

Kirstie has been engaged in the fields of health and wellness since 2000.  She focused ten years of that time dedicating her efforts to studying dance in the studio, competition, and college settings, after which she transitioned to yoga and Pilates for two years.  

In 2012 she joined the Crossfit world while she was finishing up her degree at CSU Dominguez Hills for Behavioral Sciences, specializing in childhood obesity.  Kirstie follows a strict diet to aide in the treatment of two chronic illnesses- Endometriosis and PCOS, and finds that following a strict nutrition plan assists in the reduction of chronic pain symptoms linked to these ailments.  

Her newest endeavor is in the field of wellness undertaking combined nutrition and fitness coaching, specializing in individuals with precise health and wellness goals.
